Hello, Friends! I hope that you all are doing well today! As promised, here is the trailer and first chapter of my fan fiction, which I am titling, the Revenge of the Master. But first…
Once upon a time, the Rise of Skywalker came out, and I walked out of movie theater happy and satisfied. Then, I watched the prequel trilogy one day after getting Disney+ and this lovely animated show called Clone Wars, then rewatched the original trilogy after seeing the prequels, and that was utterly amazing! Suddenly, like a ton of bricks had been hurled at me, my view of the sequel trilogy was shattered. What had Disney done to Star Wars? What had they done to Rey, who should have been related to Obi-Wan Kenobi?! What had they done with Anakin, who disappears and becomes non-existent after the Return of the Jedi? Thus, I decided to take matter into my own hands and write a fan fiction, combining my favorite Doctor and the Ponds and mashing them up with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker in my second favorite Star Wars film (on which I will be writing very soon). Yes, my friends, I decided to write a Doctor Who/Star Wars crossover fan fiction.
It is based, in the Star Wars timeline, during Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and in between Season 7 Episode 4: The Power of Three and Season 7 Episode 5: The Angels Take Manhattan, in the Doctor Who timeline.
However, that is really all that I want to reveal about it since I want most of it to be surprise! Here is the trailer that I put together for it:
By the way this trailer will have MAJOR spoilers for Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith, seasons five and seven of Clone Wars, as well as EXTREME spoilers for Doctor Who series seven episode five: The Angels Take Manhattan, so if you don’t want any spoilers, just skip the trailer and go straight to chapter one of my fan fiction below.
I hope that you all enjoyed that. It took me a good two weeks to finish! It also gives my fanfiction some much needed back story as to when the story begins, and how the Doctor Who timelines intertwines with the Star Wars timeline.
Now, without further ado, I would like to present to you, chapter one of my fanfiction:
The Tardis shook and rattled while inside the lanky figure of the Doctor raced about the console, pushing every button in sight. Behind him the Ponds were unsuccessfully trying to hold on to anything unmoving.
“Hold on, Ponds!” The Doctor shouted over the constant wheezing of the Tardis. “The Tardis has been pulled into a timestream that has somehow been merged with mine.”
“Doctor!” Amy cried as her and Rory banged into one another. “Whose timestream are we merging with!?”
“I believe we are about to find out. The Tardis is landing,” sighed the Doctor as the jolting and shaking ceased, and the Tardis began to materialize in a galaxy far far away…
“R2, locate the Chancellor!” Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi shouted as he and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker fought off the last of the battle droids that had been waiting for them. They had just arrived on General Grievous’s main command ship on a daring rescue mission.
“The Chancellor’s signal is coming from right there,” Obi-Wan informed, pointing to a holographic map of the ship that R2-D2 had pulled from the informational unit. “The observational platform at the top of that spire.”
“I sense Count Dooku,” Anakin asserted.
“I sense a trap.”
“Spring the trap,” Obi-Wan jested, with a smile.
They began to walk toward the door that headed out of the large flight deck when a loud wheezing noise came from directly in front of them. Out thin air a large blue box began to materialize right before their eyes. Anakin promptly took out his lightsaber, but Obi-Wan quickly motioned for him to put it away.
“It’s alright, Anakin. I’d know that sound anywhere,” Obi-Wan conveyed, with a look of pleasure on his face.
With a final push the Tardis landed on General Grevious’s command ship above Coruscant.
Inside the Tardis the Ponds were still reeling from their long and bumpy ride. The Doctor was pushing the last few buttons that would stabilize the Tardis.
“Doctor, where are we?” Amy piped up, rubbing her temples gently.
The Doctor glanced at his watch. “Just above a planet called Coruscant, and it is nineteen BBY, roughly.”
“BBY?” Rory asked timidly.
“Before the Battle of Yavin—everything in this part of the universe is dated by that time marker. During the battle of Yavin, a young, daring bloke named Luke Skywalker blows up the first Death Star, which was basically the planet killer of the tyrannical Galactic Empire. So obviously people take that seriously around here.”
“Now, we are before the battle of Yavin, so no one out their knows about all that I just told you, so let’s keep it that way, shall we?” the Doctor paused and put on a lively smile. “Shall we go take a look?”
Amy and Rory nodded.
The Doctor energetically popped his head out of the Tardis to face the two Jedi, who awaited them outside.
“Doctor, good to see you again,” Obi-Wan exclaimed, clapping him on the shoulder as he bumbled out of the Tardis.
“Obi-Wan!” and the Doctor gave him a time lord sized hug.
“That is master Obi-Wan now.”
“You finally did it! Good for you! Last time I saw you, you were still a padawan learner. How is your old master Qui-Gon?”
“Thank you, Doctor. Unfortunately, Master Qui-Gon has passed into the nether field of the force. He is dearly missed, especially in these strange times.”
“I am so sorry…That must have been hard,” the Doctor stopped. His face fell, and there was a silence.
“Many things have changed since I last saw you, my friend,” Obi-Wan sighed pensively, but he smiled softly and continued, “Anyway, I am sorry to bring you into all of this, Doctor. This is Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. He is a skilled Jedi and will be made a master any day now if the council wills it.”
Amy glanced at Rory in interest as he mouthed the words, “Skywalker?” The Doctor hastily stamped on his foot while Amy pinched him to keep him from crying out.
Anakin walked forward and shook the Doctor’s hand. “It is very nice to meet you, Doctor.” He gestured toward Amy and Rory and laughed. “Your friends seem to be hiding behind you.”
The Doctor chuckled, “Get out here, Ponds!”
“Oh—sorry! Hello!” Amy breathed, waving nervously at the two Jedi Knights.
“Yeah, hi! Husband, here,” Rory added, stepping out from behind Amy.
Obi-Wan greeted them both with smiles before drawing his lightsaber at the sound of battle droids approaching from behind the Tardis. He raised his finger to his lips and motioned everyone to hush.
“As much as I would love to talk, me and Anakin have a job to do. Chancellor Palpatine has been captured by General Grievous, and his is aboard this ship. We were sent here to rescue, and return him to the safety of Coruscant,” Obi-Wan disclosed in a muffled whisper. Amy stranded to catch his words. “I am afraid, my friend, that you need to stay here.”
“I’m sorry, Master, but wouldn’t it be easier if they came with us?” Anakin suggested.
“We will help the best we can…” the Doctor added.
“Yes…I believe that you are right, Anakin. It would be dangerous if you got ambushed here, but all of you stick close to us, especially you, Mrs…Pond, was it?”
Amy was about to respond when from behind the Tardis, what sounded like automated voices erupted, “Hey, who’s there!? And who got clearance to park this big blue box here?”
“Battle droids…” Obi-Wan scowled. “Are you ready, Anakin?”
“Always…This is when the fun begins.” Anakin drew his light saber and brought it in front of himself.
“Be mindful of thoughts, Anakin.”
“Sorry, Master,” Anakin replied, but Amy thought she heard just a hint of resentment in his voice.
At the same time, all five of them turned and faced the on-coming brigade of battle droids and destroyers…
I hope that you enjoyed that, friends! I know that this chapter was very short, but it is just to introduce the characters, setting, and timeline, in other words, it is just a tease.
I will continue to update you all on my progresses with my fanfiction and will post it in its entirety on this blog first before posting it on any other fanfiction site.
Well, that is all for now, and I will be posting a literature review later this week, so stay tuned!
Until next time,
Time Lady of Coruscant 😉
